Die weitaus schöneren Gebiete der Vereinigten Arabischen Emirate sind hier, an der Ostküste, genauer gesagt am indischen Ozean, zu finden. Kilometerlange Sandstrände, eine moderate touristische Infrastruktur ohne allzuviel "Rummel" um die Hotelanlangen in Fujairah Stadt, Al Aqah oder Dibba und die bizarr anmutende Gesteinslandschaft von Musandam (Nord-Oman). Kulturell gesehen, kann der ganze Küstenabschnitt zwischen Dibba und Fujairah mit vielen Forts aus britischer Kolonialzeit aufwarten, und das Hajar-Gebirge im HIntergrund des Küstenabschnitts sorgt für eine wahrhaft majestätische Kulisse.

Das Hilton Fujeirah ist mitnichten ein Haus neueren Datums, sondern existiert mittlerweile gute 15 Jahre. Als eines der ersten First-Class Hotels in der Region hat man jedoch durch permanentes Umgestalten der Anlage einen hohen Standard halten koennen.

  Jal Fujairah Resort & Spa
Japanisch-effektiv und trotzdem angenehm präsentiert sich das Jal Fujeirah Resort und Spa. Das Jal befindet sich eigentlich direkt zwischen dem nördlichen Oman (Musandam) und dem letzten Zipfel Fujeirahs. Dibba ist ein typischer Warenumschlagplatz und somit ein Element arabischer Kultur. Allerdings - der Strand ist schwer schlagbar und genau darum hat das Jal hier niedergelassen. Ob das Haus "jedermanns Sache" ist, ist generell die Frage. tatsache ist aber: die heutige 20-40-Generation hat dafür einige Wortschöpfungen: supercool, stylish, oder auch "hip" treffen den Kern ziemlich genau.
Um es kurz zu machen, das Jal ist das architektonische Japan von heute im Arabien von gestern, und - wenn man das Arabien von vorgestern besuchen möchte, empfehlen sich Tageskreuzfahrten nach Musandam (Nordoman). Hier grüßt landseitig die Steinzeit den Besucher, der die Gegensätze heutiger Welten kaum zu fassen vermag.

Das Royal Beach befindet sich in Dibba, unweit der Grenze zum Oman nach Musandam, also im nördlichen Teil des Emirates Fujeirah. Hier geht es - im wesentlichen - um bequeme Unterkünfte. Von Schoenheit zu sprechen, wäre verfehlt. Der Strand ist toll, die ZImmer sind anständig, und das Padi Tauchcenter professionell.

Das Oceanic Hotel befindet sich in Khor Fakkan (Anflughafen Dubai), der etwas ruhigeren "Ecke" von SHARJAH, bereits am indischen Ozean gelegen.Geografisch gesehen hat Khor nichts mit Sharjah zu tun, befindet sich aber trotzdem unter nämlicher Regierungsgewalt und erinnert somit an die Verhältnisse von Wangeroge, dass auch dem Stadtgebiet Oldenburg unterstellt wurde. Khor Fakkan ist ein Ort, an dem man sich mit dem bescheiden muss, was Land und Leute "hergeben". Das Hajar-Gebirge der arabischen Halbinsel im Rücken, einen endlosen Strand "vor der Nase", und eine typisch arabische Kleinstadt, in der man ausgezeichnet einkaufen kann, eine endlos klange Strandpromenade zum Spazierengehen vorfindet und die einem das bietet, was man sonst kaum am Golf vorfindet - Ruhe.

Professional fisherman and equipment will take you to the North of Musandam where you will be fishing for Jack Tuna, Grouper, Mackeral, Trevally and Barracuda. Be careful of the white top sharks, hammer head sharks or the goatfish!! The game fishing works on a catch and release system for all fish caught, if the fish are not too young, too old or endangered and you request for it to be brought back to the resort this will be possible. One fish per villa. |
